Am I Eligible?
- Must be obligated to pay rent; AND be able to demonstrate current primary residence in a housing unit in the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Able to show a financial impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- A household income that falls under the COVID-19 Housing Cost Assistance Program Income Limits
- Unemployed and/or receiving unemployment benefits (optional)
- Able to demonstrate risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability
- Able to demonstrate rent and utility obligations incurred since March 30, 2020
What Does it Cover?
- Rent
- Utility bills, this includes electric and gas
- Water and sewer
- Trash removal, fuel, oil, wood and pellets
- Other expenses related to housing costs such as hotel/motel costs

- IMPORTANT NOTICE: On February 7, 2022, Governor Randall Vicente authorized an Amendment to the Executive Order that issues the following. Read the full Amendment No. 07 Executive Order here.
- COVID-19 Safe Practices for all Pueblo of Acoma Residents, the Pueblo of Acoma will allow tribal members, their spouses, significant others, extended relatives, and children, residing on and off Acoma tribal lands, to enter and exit the Pueblo. Social gatherings (indoor and outdoor) limited to 10 people maximum.
- Modified Closure of Acoma Tribal Government Operations and Acoma Business Enterprises, business with outside entities shall coordinate access for those external business representatives. Tribal Vendors are authorized to operate at a limited or reduced capacity with safety guidelines in place. Tribal buildings are open to the public for in-person business, with the safe practice of social distancing.
- Check Points and Road Closures, the only security checkpoint located below Old Acoma, shall remain in operation. A valid vaccination card and based on current COVID-19 numbers, a current (within 72 hours) negative COVID-19 test will be required to gain access to Old Acoma.
- Guidelines for Death of a Pueblo Member, burials and traditional wakes can resume without limited capacity unless death is caused by COVID-19.
- Cultural and Religious Activities, church services can resume at 50% occupancy with safety guidelines. All cultural activities will be determined by the cultural leadership of the Pueblo.
- COVID-19 Vaccinations, COVID-19 vaccinations are strongly encouraged for all Acoma Tribal Members, and non-Acoma Tribal Residents.
- PAHA urges everyone to follow all directives and notices issued by the Pueblo of Acoma, county, state and federal government.
